Karm popup in KDE 4

KArm is a time tracker that integrates with the KOrganizer to do list.

It features a simple user interface, idle detection, desktop tracking, CSV export, and a time card report.

The development information for the different applications in KDE PIM is collected here. Much of KDE PIM is extensible via plugins; there are a wide variety of file-formats in use. As much as possible, these are documented here. You may also want to take a look at the tutorials that are available.
