I always wanted to know about how long the computer is active. And in case of android it shows us the time since the phone was in use. Like it is for days or year etc. So I wanted to know if Linux can keep track of atleast daily if not since the installation.
And so I find the command there for the same purpose that shows simple information like say - uptime.
When you type the "uptime" command you get the output like the following shown in the image.
This command shows you how much time you are logged in into the linux. So this can be handy when you have the multi user machine and want to see how long a user is connected to the system.
I think in case of office and the school and other enterprise places where this can be handy and also help keep track of what is going on.
Have you used uptime command? What is your experience? Do you know any windows specific tool or the command where it can be used there?
